I haven't been too well since the start of the New Year, so normal posting may be some time in resuming. In the meantime, I'll write a bit about various topics when I get the chance.
As I spent most of the Holidays catching up on various TV series and miniseries and discovering new ones, I thought I'd put together a short list of recommendations for you. By pure coincidence (hah!), they're all British. To be perfectly honest, I have a very poor opinion of Canadian and American television in general...
So, in no specific order, I highly recommend:
- Doctor Who (season 5 in particular)
- Sherlock
- Being Human*
- Life on Mars*
- Ashes to Ashes (except season 3 — such a disappointment)
- Little Dorrit
Can you suggest any others?
*Please, I beg of you, stay far, far away from the American versions of these series!
4 little note(s):
I hope you're starting to feel better. Some of my favourite shows to watch when I'm not feeling well are Black Books, Poirot and Marple.
Thanks for mentioning Black Books, it's on my list of shows to seek out.
Ah, Monsieur Poirot and Miss Marple - such good old friends!
i watch being human, life on mars, ashes to ashes and doctor who - i think british television is great!
merlin is also a good one to watch too.
I gave Merlin a try, but found myself increasingly irritated with it... It's good for entertainment purposes in small doses, though!
